Winter Ranch Formal
Dress Code Guidance for The Ceremony
Please dress in formal attire thoughtfully adapted for snow and mountain terrain. We encourage rich textures like velvet and wool in deep jewel tones that complement our winter setting.
Tuxedos, suits, denim, and long dresses are welcome, paired with appropriate footwear for snow. Layers are recommended. Have fun with your clothing! Bring your fur. It's winter in the southern Rocky Mountains.
Inspirations for The Look
Elevating Your Winter Formal Style
To complement the snowy alpine setting, embrace textures and colors that evoke warmth and elegance. Consider luxurious fabrics like velvet, silk, tweed, and fine wools. Fur stoles or wraps can add a touch of glamour and keep you cozy.
Color Palette Suggestions
Lean into a palette of deep jewel tones such as emerald green, sapphire blue, ruby red, fuchsia, and amethyst purple. Rich metallics like gold, silver, and rose gold can add sparkle, while classic black, deep charcoal, and winter white offer timeless sophistication. Earthy neutrals like forest green and deep brown also blend beautifully with the natural surroundings.
Outfit Inspiration
  • For Her: Gowns in velvet or silk, embellished with subtle beading or lace. Pair with weather-appropriate boots.
  • For Him: Classic tuxedos or dark suits in wool or tweed. Selvedge denim. Bow ties in velvet or silk can add texture. Opt for boots that can handle snow.
Remember, layering is key for comfort. Warm undergarments and discreet thermals can make a big difference without compromising your formal appearance.
